Getting to LILAC 2024

Details on our location and how to get to there.

How to find us

Leeds is a fantastic city for everyone. It’s small enough to get around easily on foot (or on your bike), but also extremely well connected by public transport.

Our City Campus is very central and spread over several buildings around Woodhouse Lane, a short walk from Leeds train station.

We are just a few minutes’ walk from the main shopping centres, the First Direct Arena and heading out of town, Hyde Park.

Air

The nearest airport is Leeds-Bradford.

There are two ways to get from the airport to Leeds city centre: by taxi or by bus. Taking a taxi is the fastest and easiest option – it takes 23 minutes for the cost of about £50. Alternatively, the A1 Flyer is the most direct bus service from Leeds Bradford Airport to Leeds Bus Station. It takes approximately 50 minutes to reach Leeds city centre and a single ticket costs £5.50. Full information can be found on the airport website.

Manchester airport also has an excellent direct rail link to Leeds City Centre which takes about 1h 17mins, with tickets prices from £10.

Arriving by public transport:

The City Campus is just a 15-minute walk from Leeds train station.

Walking

The venue is situated a 15 minute walk from Leeds train station.

Arriving by car

Leeds has good motorway links from the M1, M62 and M621, making it easy to reach the city. There are a number of paid council run and private car parks available in the city centre. There is also the option to park at our Headingley Campus and get the free  university shuttle bus down to City Campus.

Parking

There are a number of city centre pay and display car parks located near our campus buildings. These can get busy during events and we would advise that you use Leeds Council City Centre Car Parks or Parkopedia to check available parking spaces on the day and that you leave plenty of time to find a space and walk to the campus.
