Information Literacy Award

The Information Literacy Award recognises an outstanding UK-based practitioner or researcher.

Information Literacy Award 2017 - Winner announced!


The winner is Helen Howard (Learning Services Team Leader, Leeds University Library).

The judges were Gayner Eyre (Library Consultant) and Alison Harding (Executive Head of Library and Learning Resources, University of Wales Trinity St David).

Dr. Eyre explained that the judges were extremely impressed with Helen’s high level of commitment to IL and her distinguished all-round perfromance in the field: “Helen has done an enormous amount in raising the profile of IL. In addition to work with staff and students, she has promoted IL throughout the university and beyond with publications and other activities.”

The runner-up was Jo Parker (Library Services Manager, Open University). Jo was recognised for her outstanding work promoting digital literacy within the OU and further afield via her prestigious publications and innovative online resources.
