Student Sponsored Place for LILAC

The purpose of this award is to enable two students to attend LILAC. The award consists of full conference registration, travel and accommodation expenses.

The award is open to full-time or part-time students (including distance-learners) registered for a UK-based first degree or postgraduate qualification in information/library studies or information literacy.

The 2013 winners are:

Darren Flynn & Roisin Cassidy


Darren is a Senior Library Assistant at Manchester Metropolitan University and  is currently enrolled on a full-time 1-year Library and Information Management course at MMU.

Roisin is a recent Graduate Trainee at the Edward Boyle Library, University of Leeds and is currently studying part-time on the MA Librarianship course at the University of Sheffield.

The judges were Peter Reid (Head of the Department of Information Management, Robert Gordon University) and Ruth Stubbings (Deputy University Librarian, Nottingham Trent University).
